MY JOURNEY TO THE BREATH

You could say my journey to breathwork has been life-long. Starting in my youth I gravitated towards almost any and all healing modality, or self-help tool, I could find - even if it was just to rule that path out for myself. You name it, I’ve probably read it, watched it, or experienced it. However, while it was natural for me to help others turn inwards to find their answers it was foreign for me to look to myself for guidance. I valued the wisdom and insight of teachers and gurus more than my own.

In my late twenties I was in hypnotherapy and traditional talk therapy. But, I soon found myself hitting a plateau and not being able to sit with, shift, or move further into releasing my stored emotions and traumas. I also found I was becoming more disconnected from myself and spirit.

That’s when the universe stepped in and guided me to Michelle D’Avella, a breathwork practitioner, who introduced me to this modality and the untapped healing potential residing within me. It was during my sessions with Michelle that I knew I wanted to become a facilitator of breathwork and hold space for others in their healing journey. Outside of my sessions with Michelle, my practice with breathwork kept growing and I was seeing the benefits in all aspects of my life.

Breathwork brings me back into moments, times, and feelings in a way unlike any other healing modality I have previously experienced. In this deep meditative state I am able to witness, sit with, move through, and release stuck feelings and emotions. And the greatest part is that the healing power lies with the me - not someone else.

In 2021, I had the privilege of training and learning from the esteemed David Elliott and completing his Level 4 Breathwork Facilitator course. At first, I used that experience to deepen my personal practice. That strengthened connection to my breath has guided me through several large, and unexpected life changes, and now I’m ready to step fully into the facilitator role and hold space for others.

It is my honor to hold space for you, wherever you are in your healing journey, and to help you come home to yourself.

how breathwork has helped me

Breathwork has been transformative in all aspects of my life but especially profound in healing childhood traumas and womb traumas of various types. I work with my breath to recognize and release patterns or behaviors from my ancestral lineage; especially as it relates to scarcity, loss, and self-love.

Breathwork has been instrumental in my career development and is a tool I use continually in my life mapping. My breath has helped me gain clarity, identify development milestones, and map my professional desires from a heart-centered space. It has empowered me to align myself with my life’s purposes.
